Amazon Eco-Park

The Amazon Eco-Park is located at the Taruma river bank, a tributary of the Rio Negro, just 30 minutes by motor-launch from Manaus. It offers a variety of excursions to experience the mystery and magic of the jungle, including piranha fishing, forest hikes, bird-watching, excursions by motor-launch and night time "Alligator spotting". You can also visit the homes of nearby local inhabitants and learn about life in the forest. Close to the lodge is located the Primate Rehabilitation Centre, a project sponsored by the Live Forest Foundation, whose main goal is to return to the forest monkeys and wildlife found in the illegal wildlife trade. The lodge also offers a Jungle Survival Course for groups. The course is given by retired military officers from the Amazon Jungle Army. The course takes approximately 7 hours with training on jungle survival life in the forest, how to built an emergency shelter, how to find food, water and to make fire, how to find a path in the bush and first aid. 

All packages include transfers from/to Manaus airport or hotels. Land transfers are operated in air conditioned cars, vans or deluxe buses. The river cruise transfer is operated on board the Eco-park lodge’s own regional boats. Transfers are operated 24 hours a day at no additional cost.

Package - 4days/3nights - Pick-up at 8:30A.M & drop-off 5:00P.M

Day 1: Pick-up at 8:30A.M (or at 9:00A.M at Hotel Tropical pier) and transfer to the “Amazon Ecopark Lodge”. Reception with local juice after which guests will be shown to the rooms. Regional lunch. After a short rest visit to the home of local Amazonian residents (“caboclos”) with an opportunity for “piranha” fishing. Dinner and evening tour by canoe for “Alligator Spotting”. Overnight at the lodge. 
Day 2 : Breakfast followed by “Nature-Hike”. Return for regional lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. 
Day 3: Breakfast and visit to the “Monkey Jungle”. Regional lunch. After a short rest, tour in canoes to observe the local flora & fauna. Dinner & overnight at the lodge. 
Day 4: Breakfast, check out at 9:30A.M & full day tour to the Meeting of the Waters with lunch at a floating restaurant. Arrival at Hotel Tropical pier at 4:30P.M and, if necessary, transfer to another hotel or the airport. Arrival at 5:00PM.
