Day 01: Arrive Mexico City
Arrival at Mexico City Assistance and transfer yo your hotel. Overnight.
Day 02: Mexico City
In the morning, visit to the Main Square: Zócalo, Cathedral, Government Palace, Diego Rivera's murals. We will continue to Reforma avenue and Chapultepec.Then visit to Anthropology Museum, one of the most importants in the world. You may stay on your own or go back to your hotel. We suggest an optional tour to Xochimilco's water canals. Overnight.
Day 03: Mexico/Puebla/Oaxaca
Departure to Puebla and visit Santa Maria Tonantzintla, temple beautifully decorated by indigenous hands; Rosario's Chapel, the Main Square, the Cathedral and El Parian (a craft shopping center). Lunch. Continuation to Oaxaca. Overnight.
Day 04: Oaxaca/Monte Alban/Mitla/Tule
Breakfast. During the morning visit to Monte Alban, a great archaeological site to behold. Built on a mountain top flattened by the zapotecs. Where we will find different cultures: Olmecs, Mixtecs and Zapotecs.The Main Square, the Observatory, Tomb # 7, the Stones of the Dancers. We will continue to Mitla, one of the most enigmatic sacred places. The village had a great importance as a burial site. The buildings are decorated with symbolic mosaics. In route we are going to find the Tule Tree, one of the biggest living beings in the world. Return to Oaxaca and visit this beautiful city, including the Cathedral, the magnificent Santo Domingo church and Gold museum. Overnight.
Day 05: Oaxaca/Sumidero/San Cristobal
Breakfast-box lunch. Early morning departure to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital city of the State of Chiapas, You will enjoy the landscapes of the southern mountains. Boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon, with 1,000 meters ( 3,300 feet) in its highest point. We pass by Chiapa de Corzo, where we can admire its Mudejar style fountain. Continue on to San Cristobal. Dinner and overnight.
Day 06: San Cristobal/Indian Towns
Breakfast. Visit San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, typical Indian towns, where the people still keep their traditions, customs, believes as well as their social structures. Some times you will witness some archaic rites pagan-religious. The temple, housing and clothing are very original. Afternoon at your leisure to visit this beautiful city: the Market, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo church as well as the Jade museum to view King Pakal´s tomb replica. Overnight.
Day 07:San Cristobal/Agua Azul/Palenque
Breakfast. Head to Agua Azul waterfalls, to admire their turquoise coloured waters. Possibility of swimming. After a short stop at Misol-Há, another beautiful fall, we will continue to Palenque. Dinner and overnight.
Day 08: Palenque/Campeche
Breakfast. Visit Palenque, surrounded by jungle. One of the prime and most important Mayan archaeological sites, Inside the Pyramid of the Inscriptions, King Pakal's sarcophagus and its fascinating carved gravestone were found, We will view the Sun Temple, the Cross Temple, the Palace. Departure to find a beautiful panoramic of the Gulf of México. Lunch on your own. Continuation to Campeche city. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 09: Campeche/Uxmal/Merida
Breakfast.Panoramic view of the city and departure to Uxmal. We will visit this archaeological site and its wonders: The Guesser Pyramid, the Nunnery quadrangle, Governor's Palace, the Ballgame Court. Lunch and arrival to Merida, "the White City" to enjoy a panoramic view: Montejo Avenue, the monument to Motherland, the Main Square, the Cathedral, Government Palaces. Overnight.
Day 10: Merida/Chicchen Itza/Cancun
Breakfast. Departure to Chichén Itzá, the most important Mayan and awesome site in Mexico. We will find advanced archaeo-astronomic knowledge in this city. We will visit the pyramid "The Castle" or Kukulcan temple, the Ballgame Court, the Skull temple, Jaguar's temple, the Observatory, the One Thousand Columns Square, the Sacred Well (cenote). Lunch. Continuation to Cancun. If time permits, visit to one of the wells. Arrival and overnight.
Day 11: Cancun
Breakfast.Free day to enjoy the wonderful talcum powdered turquoise beaches or take an optional tour as Isla Mujeres, Xcaret, Tulum/Xel-Há or Cozumel. Our office will be more than happy in suggesting alternatives and confirm your flight. Overnight.
Day 12: Depart Cancun
Breakfast. At convenient time, transfer to the airport to take your flight back. Flight tickets not included.
