Day 1. Puno / Copacabana / Island of the Sun
Transportation from Puno to Copacabana (3 – 4 hours), a nice town in the shores of Lake Titicaca, boat to the Island of the Sun (1 hour), land near the Pilkokaina ruins and have a typical “aptapi”. Hike 1 hour to Ecolodge La Estancia. Overnight. (LD)
Day 2. Island of the Sun / La Paz
DON’T MISS THE SUNRISE! Boat to the north to see the ruins of La Chincana (1 hour). Hike crossing the island to the ecolodge (3 hours), with great views of the lake and the local culture or boat. You’ll hike down crossing the Garden of the Incas in Yumani (1/2 hour), and boat to Copacabana (1 hour), visit the famous Dark Virgin, its great church and a stroll of the town. Transportation to La Paz (3 hours). Overnight in hotel. (BL)
Day 3. am. City tour (half day)
A 4 hour morning tour in of La Paz, including the area of the street markets, rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft artifacts. The tour goes through the colonial part of the city, San Francisco Church, Gold Museum, Murillo Square and the outdoor replica of the Tiahuanaco temple. Then to the modern part of town, dropping down a lot in elevation to finally visit the Valley of the Moon, enjoy all of its natural geological formations. (B)

Day 4. Flight La Paz / Uyuni – Full day Uyuni saltflats
Flight from La Paz to Uyuni (08.15 – 09.15 m), transfer to your hotel nearby in Colchani in the shores of the Uyuni saltflats.
Visit the village and its surroundings to see locals producing salt, enter this natural wonder of the nature with over 10.000 km2 at 3.692 m of salt is something really special. Trip through the saltflats crossing to Isla Incahuasi (2 hours), a special habitat of giant cactus and volcanic rocks. Then north to Coquesa to see old mummies at the foothills of the Tunupa volcano. Trip back to Colchani (2 hours). Enjoy a nice sunset and overnight in a unique salt hotel. (BLD)
Day 5. Colchani / Uyuni / Alota / Villamar
Trip south crossing the town of Uyuni, leaving it to visit the cemetery of old trains and then enter the southern highlands crossing the San Cristobal mine, the village of Culpina K and enter the rich high Andean valley of Alota (4 hours), continue south with great stone formations done by the erosion, to finally reach Villamar (1 hour), overnight in hotel. Day 6. Villamar / REA (Reserve Eduardo Abaroa) / San Pedro de Atacama
Trip to REA visiting: Laguna Colorada (4,278m – 2 hours), geysers “Sol de Mañana”, Chalviri lagoon and its hot springs of Polques. Continue the high deserts of Pampas de Dali until “Laguna Verde” (3 hours), a beautiful green lagoon at the foothills of the Licancabur mountain, cross the border to Chile and descend to San Pedro de Atacama (1 hour). Day 7. Arqueological Tour – Half Day
(9am to 12:30pm): In the morning a half day Archaeological tour of the San Pedro Region including the Museum Padre Le Paige and the Incan ruins of Tulor and the adobe homes of Quitor dating back some 3000 years. Free afternoon to explore the town
Day 8. Depart San Pedro
Breakfast and transfer to the airport in Calama for your flight out.
